HIGH PARK

Basement – Current work in progress

Problem: the sub-floor had been removed since the flood and the remaining concrete was noticeably sloped toward the drain ports in each room. We needed to pour concrete, but the limited window access meant we couldn’t pour without damaging the landscaping outside.

Solution: concrete floor was mixed, poured and leveled all by hand in the basement. Before pouring, we took the opportunity to add new drains for a new kitchen, common area laundry and nanny suite laundry.

Shown: an access housing was poured into the floor to allow for access and maintenance of the new back-flow preventer.
